Odour filter
The invention concerns a biological filtering apparatus for purifying gases, in particular those containing hydrogen sulfide (H2S, a malodorous gas). The biological filter can be used in sewage ducts to reduce the amount of malodorous hydrogen sulfide that es-capes. Moreover, the novel process ensures sufficient moisture for the microorganisms and thus permits reliable conversion of the hydrogen sulfide escaping from sewage ducts even during extended dry periods.
