Self-monitored flow sensor

Sensor system and method with a self-monitoring feature for flow measurements of liquids. Defects / dysfunctions of the sensor are monitored and self-reconfigurated while the sensor is in use. An exact measurement is assured until a replacement or servicing of the sensor system takes place.
