Method for laser-based forest inventory
During last years the research concerning airborne laser scanning based forest inventory applications has been very active in different parts of the world. The proposed solution allows a real 3D segmentation of the scanned objects. Even concealed trees are registered. Moreover the identification of forest species is possible. The proposed solution surpasses all other products regarding accuracy and completeness of the registered objects.
