Antitumor-active Rhodium complexes
Novel rhodium-based compounds with a strong cytostatic capability are offered for the therapy of cancer. Determination of IC50 values of the discovered rhodium complexes revealed a strong cytostatic effect in breast cancer cells and colon carcinoma cells. The activity was up to 100fold higher compared to known cytostatica. The rhodium complexes exhibit a high potential in regard of the increasing resistences of tumors to common chemotherapeutic agents, such as Cisplatin or Carboplatin.
Thus the novel antitumor-active rhodium complexes represent powerful compounds to fight especially breast and colorectal cancer.
