EMBO invites entries for annual communication award

The EMBO Award for Communication is presented annually to a life scientist in Europe for outstanding contributions to the public communication of science. The award highlights the exceptional efforts made by many scientists to combine science communication with a full-time research career.

The prize consists of a personal award of 5,000 Euro and a handcrafted medal. EMBO also nominates winners for the European Commission's Descartes Prize for Science Communication. The winner in 2006 was Armand Marie Leroi of Imperial College London.

The deadline for applications is 30 June 2007.
