As soon as the grid connection has been established, the 30 Siemens wind turbines, with a capacity of 108 megawatts (MW), will start generating electricity.
Riffgat will then be supplying climate-friendly power to some 120,000 homes.
So the wind farm is an important step toward achieving the German government’s expansion targets for 2020.
