Award Celebration for DASGIP

DASGIP has applied with the DASGIP iApp, the world’s first application for monitoring and controlling parallel biotechnology cultivation processes with the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. The DASGIP iApp allows users to monitor and control all relevant process values online in up to 16 parallel bioreactors at different locations around the world.

“The DASGIP iApp discloses the global innovation and technology leadership and contributes to the growth of the company that currently invests in the location,” explained Ulrich Schirowski, manager of the regional development agency for the Technology Region Aachen (Agit), the awarding.

The innovation award of the Aachen region is awarded since 2006. The award is in recognition of entrepreneurial achievements. “The universities of the Aachen region enjoy a very good reputation internationally. The companies in our region continue the successful research, transfer it in added value and finally into jobs,” says Ulrich Schirowski.

The innovation award honors developments of technology, trade, service and commercial sectors that are of particular interest for the development of the business location Aachen region. The innovative aspects that were estimated are:
• development of new technologies,
• operational measures to improve environmental protection and energy supply,
• new approaches to creating and preserving jobs,
• new approaches to reconciling work and family life
• solutions to improve operational or public infrastructure, and
