CabinExpAir goes to Hamburg for Aircraft Interiors

Gilles Morin, CabinExpAir chairman, says, “There has been a growing fragmentation of responsibilities between the various participants involved in aircraft cabins, including seat manufacturers, electronics companies and cabin integrators. CabinExpAir's goal is to control the entire value chain from design through to installation, not forgetting maintenance. To do so, we are working on a large number of projects in the aircraft cabin market and are actively positioning ourselves as cabin architects.”

As part of the French Pavilion at Aircraft Interiors, CabinExpair will be presenting its integrated approach to seat refurbishment at the trade show, which will take place in Hamburg (Germany) in May 2010. By providing standard subassemblies, which can be adapted to various seats available on the market, the company has developed a new type of seat that is lighter and less expensive.

CabinExpAir offers airline companies a complete renovation of aircraft cabins, incorporating the latest technological innovations, while staying within investment budgets and compressing operating costs. Based on technical specifications, which can be drawn up together with the airline if required, CabinExpAir works on the ‘design-to-cost’ of the cabin architecture.

The key objective is to improve the services and comfort level offered to passengers and to facilitate and optimise the work of the cabin crew. This also enables the airline to carefully manage investment costs and reduce its operating budgets. To achieve this, CabinExpAir offers an innovative, modular and integrated cabin concept.

By developing standardised and pre-certified modules that can be adapted to meet the needs of different airlines, CabinExpAir helps them to optimise planning and retrofit costs by avoiding specific design constraints. CabinExpAir is also introducing innovative new features in the field of aircraft seating, aimed at facilitating the work of cabin crews, offering better services to passengers and improving equipment maintenance.
