French companies are a sure BETT in London 2014

The French Pavilion is being organized by UBIFRANCE, the French export-support agency, in partnership with Cap Digital and Afinef (the French Education Suppliers’ Trade Association), with the support of the French Ministry for Education and in collaboration with Copilot Partners. It will be situated on Stand C-98 at BETT 2014, and will present 12 French-based companies from the educational-technology sector.

Adways

Developed by Adways, Adways Studio is a Software as a Service (Saas) program that allows the user to create rich and interactive videos. Adways has created a new and immersive format, especially well adapted to e-learning, which drastically increases the learner’s engagement with the video content.

Aldebaran Robotics

Aldebaran Robotics is a world leader in humanoid robotics. NAO, the company’s renowned robot, and its software suite use the latest technological innovations in order to create educational content adapted to the curriculum. Over 5,000 NAO robots are already challenging and inspiring students in over 1,000 schools and laboratories worldwide, as part of a range of research and educational projects.

BIC® Education

BIC® Education offers an innovative IT classroom solution, developed in partnership with INTEL, in order to facilitate teaching and learning with digital tablets for pre-schools and primary schools. This solution includes a handwriting application and secure internet access, focusing on both literacy and Media & Information Literacy (MIL) for five- to ten-year-old children.

EduMedia

EduMedia is a finalist in the BETT Awards 2014 in the Digital Collections and Resource Banks category. The EduMedia website features more than 800 innovative and interactive simulations and videos to facilitate learning about science. The resources, which are accessible on the website or via an Android device, are highly visual and interactive and can be downloaded for offline use. The resources are also suitable for projection on screens and interactive whiteboards.

Belearner

Belearner’s ERDENET: Video Learning Object is a web device that allows teachers to create learning pathways through interactive videos on the www.belearner.com website. The Video Learning Object concept enables users to upload a variety of documents, which can then be edited online. The documents are linked and shared through online pathways, creating an interactive network of teaching courses. The web device already has over 11,000 users.

Immanens

Immanens, established in 2003, develops and provides products and services in digital publishing. The company has developed Mtab, a platform for the education sector. Mtab provides digital-textbook technology, drop-box usage, and other tools for teachers and publishers. More than 600 titles and 800,000 documents are distributed each month via the company’s platform.

ITOP education

ITOP education is an innovative company specializing in digital technologies and educational resources. With more than four million active users, ITOP education is a French leader on the Virtual Learning Environment market. The company also edits pedagogical resources.

OpenClassrooms

OpenClassrooms is the first e-education platform of its kind in France, which brings together teachers and students through high-quality courses. There are almost 800 free courses available, which are open and accessible to all. The platform receives two million visitors per month and has over 600,000 users.
