The invention deals with a microsensor for the enzymatic measurement of gases in biological samples. An outer micropipette contains a silicone gasket being highly permeable to gases and a reservoir for the enzyme solution. The reservoir is formed like a discharge chamber and hence allows for exchanging and refilling of the enzyme solution. The enzyme solution converts the gas to be measured into an electrolyte. This electrolyte is quantitatively measured by an inner pipette which contains a pH microsensor with a proton selective cocktail. At the same time, the novel microsensor is very small, highly sensitive and selective. Therefore, it does neither affect nor change the metabolism of biological samples. Hitherto available microsensors are disposables because it is impossible to exchange the enzyme solution. In contrast, due to its construction, the novel microsensor can be employed several times.
