Transformation of methane to methylamine

Methylamine is an intermediate for the production of many industrial products, such as solvents, pesticides, pharmaceuticals and dyes. Current large-scale synthesis processes are energy intensive and therefore expensive. The invention describes an energy efficient process for the direct conversion of methane into methyl amine.
