New polymerization catalyst
Chemist at the University of Göttingen developed a new family of polymerization catalyst. The new catalyst drastically reduces the amount of expensive cocatalyst methylalumoxane (MAO) necessary for the metallocene based polymerization of ethylene. The newest catalysts is a bimetallic catalysts, which allows to incorporate a small level of branching into the lineal low density polyethylene (LLDPE) leading to excellent processibility and high melt tensions suitable for film manufacture.
We are now looking for companies, which are interested in licensing, developing and commercializing our approach.
