Optimization of biogasprodction with regard to process and to costs is proposed by using integrated heating and stirring device

An integrated heating and stirring device (iHSD) for use in a digester is proposed. A turbulent incident flow at heating parts of this integrated device effectuates excellent heat transfer into biomass. Concomitantly, the new device creates a very homogenous temperature distribution as caloric energy is disseminated very fast by enforced convection. The integrated heat exchanger is very small compared to standard heaters. The integrated device is compact, can be installed and maintained when digester is filled. Cost reduction follows from less need for expensive materials. Fast installation saves additionally costs and time.
