Method for determining the concentration of living cells
Starting from the known principle of fluorescence-mediated measurement of cell concentration using metabolism indicators an improved method using a laser as light source is proposed.
Advantages: on-line measurement of cell concentration, reducing indicator concentration by a factor of 250 (and more), minimizing possible toxicity effects on the cells, eliminating sampling, thereby reducing the risk of contamination, easier implementation, thereby saving staff costs.
