Mass related determination of harvest crops – on self propelled harvesters –
Since precision farming is a today's requirement for economical agriculture it is required to map the harvested crops per field.
We present a solution that is able to determine volume and mass while the machine is harvesting across the field in real time. It automatically adopts to all kind of crops. The measurement unit is integrated within the crops flow inside the harvester. The construction avoids measurement errors due to sticking moistures crops and allows continuous recording of volume, mass and density.
