Highly affinic and reversible binding spinmarkers for analysing proteins with magnetic resonance spectroscopy, e.g. EPR

Frankfurt scientists have developed a novel orthogonal spin label for structural and functional analysis of proteins with electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR). By combining the multivalency of nitrilotriacetic acid (NTA) moieties with stable radicals, like PROXYL, the first non-invasive spin labelling technique for His-tagged proteins has been established.
