Fast focus regulation during laser beam welding
During laser beam welding the focus position of the laser beam should be on the workpiece surface. With the present invention, this focus position can be detected in relation to the workpiece. Thus, the process can be set up quickly, but also the focus shift could be compensated. Also, this method can prepare the basis for calibrating scanner optics.
