Embossing Variable Surface Textures

Textured sheet metal is used in many industrial fields where parts with both high rigidity and low weight are required. It is more economical than semi-finished products of increased dimensions or parts with additional reinforcement.

Up to now, applying different kinds of embossing to sheet metal was only possible by sequential process steps or retooling. The present invention, however, permits variable embossing of thin, textured sheet metal with great precision and high quality in a single operation, without retooling.
