COMPLEXATION OF A PHOTOSENSITIZER WITH POLYMERIC EXCIPIENT FOR IMPROVED WATER SOLUBILITY

At Saarland University, a procedure has been developed that allows a significant enhancement of water solubility of photosensitizers of the porphyrin and chlorine family, which are usually insoluble. This can be attained by reversible complex formation of the active agents with a certain structural element which is approved for oral application.
