New Blood Biomarker for Alzheimer's Disease via ELISA

Alzheimer's Disease (AD) is the main neurodegenerative disease worldwide affecting more than 15 Mill. people. An easy AD blood diagnostic method does not exist, as well as an early predictive AD biomarker. Scientists of the University of Göttingen identified a novel Blood Biomarker for the Diagnosis of Alzheimer's Disease (AD) which correlates with the cognitive status of individuals at risk to develop AD including mild cognitive impairment (MCI) patients, as well as a corresponding ELISA methodology.
