Change is all around us….. ….but how many people are equipped to make change a positive process?

The MA in Geo-Sociology is a research and training programme concerned with developing an analytical and practical understanding of geopolitics, socio-spatial development and institutional change. It will allow students to explore new approaches to thinking about and researching the geo-social and geopolitical conflicts we see today.

This multidisciplinary course looks at change management and strategic development, but in a different way, a way that encourages partnerships, working together in new ways and using networks.

Professor AbdouMaliq Simone, who leads the course said “we set up this masters because there was a gap in the way that people traditionally thought about change management and what actually works and so our aim is to try and bring together skills is planning, critical analysis, arts, and activism to bring out new capacities in different kinds of institutions and fields of work.”

Applications for the September course are still being accepted, and students from a wide range of backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
