Sunday 16 September through Wednesday 19 September, over 1200 leading life scientists, biotechnology sector leaders, and officials from 65 countries will gather in Barcelona at the 13th European Congress on Biotechnology to discuss Science, Industry and Society, cutting edge science in all disciplines of biotechnology, and science’s role and responsibility in addressing the great challenges to humanity in the developing countries as well as improving quality of life for society in Europe and world-wide.
Leading scientists from academia and industry will address these issues in the Science, Industry & Society central theme of the Congress, and cutting edge science in the 4 other key streams of the Congress, Health & Medicine, Functional Genomics & Systems Biology, Industrial Biotechnology, Green Biotechnology. This is an ideal example of scientists coming together from around the world to focus not only cutting edge science in their scientific disciplines, but cross disciplinary cooperation and the application of science in benefit of humanity.
