A new range of mobile-terminal embedded information systems, marketed under the ubitouch brand has been developed by ASCENT. These ubitouch solutions are powerful new Java-compatible applications designed to be installed on terminals, enabling the whole of a customers publication, communication and gaming services, as well as advanced marketing functionalities, to be customised in a brand’s colours.
In comparison to existing resources, ubitouch solutions provide a greater degree of user comfort than either WAP or i-mode, more interactivity than MMS and better user-friendliness than SMS, while harmonising mobile data flows and the associated revenue models. Besides, ubitouch enables users to increase their revenues and boosts the effectiveness of mobile marketing campaigns. By embedding the world of brands and their services into consumers’ daily lives, ubitouch solutions represent a long-term loyalty vector and promote viral marketing.
The ubitouch range comes in the form of three solutions. Firstly, ubitouch Publishing, which is designed for content providers for real-time push/pull publishing (news, stock-market data, live sporting events, etc.) or static publishing (practical guides, product catalogues, logos and ringtones, etc.). Secondly, ubitouch Communities for large-scale media outlets, operators and mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs) for the deployment of mobile virtual communities (forums, chat rooms, blogs, classified advertisements, games, etc.). Finally, ubitouch Marketing for retailers, franchise networks and brands (coupons, customer loyalty cards, promotional messages, CRM tools, etc.).
