Intelligent network-enabled Devices (“NETDEVs”) for fast ramp-up

The partners of the ‘Factories of the Future’ project I-RAMP³ invite you to their final demonstration event from the 22nd – 23rd September 2015 in Harderwijk (the Netherlands) in which the impressive results will be demonstrated to the public!

The vision of I-RAMP³ is to enable the European manufacturing industry towards smart manufacturing systems in conventional production by providing solutions for significant reduction of time and efforts during the setup and re-configuration of production plants. We developed intelligent devices, sensors and actuators having capabilities for plug'n produce and self-optimization integrated in a large communication and negotiation network.

What you can expect:
– Live and hands-on I-RAMP3 technology demonstration in three real industrial setups (robotic handling and welding cell, servo press application and assembly machine)
– Industry-proven solutions for plug'n product devices such as robots, servo presses, welding controls; various wired and wireless actuators&sensors, MES, as well as production optimization
– Talks and discussions with the project partners and experts from the field of advanced manufacturing
– Time to discuss your individual use cases, how can the solution be implemented in your environment or scientific discussions on the approaches and future activities
– Company tour at the host AWL Techniek and evening program in the nice city of Harderwijk, Netherlands

The event is free of charge but requires prior registration.
Don't wait too long with your registration! Seat capacity is limited (first come, first served). Registration will close on 1st of September 2015.

About the project:

I-RAMP³ proposes the transformation of conventional production equipment into Network-enabled Devices (NETDEVs) which form the building blocks of a heterogeneous production network. NETDEVs are able to adopt themselves to varying production setup and production conditions by negotiating with each other on optimal configuration. This holistic approach enables fast component integration and exchange as well as rapid adaption of the entire manufacturing system on changing customer demands.

Steinbeis-Europa-Zentrum assisted the coordinator Harms&Wende in writing the proposal and during the contract negotiations in Brussels and is now, as project partner, responsible for the management of knowledge as well as administrative and financial project management. It also assumes the clarification of intellectual property, exploitation of research results and training for the consortium.

Project duration: 10/2012 – 09/2015
Countries involved: Germany, France, Greece, Netherlands, Portugal, and Hungary
