Better planning of processes with calendar and scheduling application

For the first time, a calendar-based user interface is available in Microsoft Office style for simple and easy scheduling. The innovation features both a calendar as well as editors for configuring and managing events and associated actions. In addition, it is possible to set up direct connections in WinCC for the planned events and actions as well as implement global scripts.

The Simatic WinCC Calendar Scheduler software option can be used to specifically plan events and actions for controlling plant processes. Using a variety of tools, several calendars, events and associated actions can be created, filtered, processed and managed.

With the actions editor, for example, the user can connect calendar data with activities such as the implementation of C-scripts. The editor can also support exceptions, such as suspending otherwise regularly occurring events as required for holidays or for maintenance work. The language setting editor facilitates multilingual versions. Variable fields, for example action names, can be assigned multi-language designations in advance.

With a hierarchical user rights system, scheduling can be protected against unauthorized access. All scheduling activities are simultaneously protocoled and displayed in the alarm logging system. This ensures a high level of process transparency within the plant.
