International Conference "European Legislation to Promote Bioenergy"

The International Conference “European Legislation to Promote Bioenergy”, November 8th and 9th in Brussel, offers special opportunities to engage in direct communication with outstanding speakers from the Parliament and the Commission through organised bilateral meetings, and create contacts among participants.

EU legislation drives bioenergy

European policy strengthens its influence on the energy and environmental sectors towards bioenergy development and climate change mitigation. Various schemes have been implemented at EU, national and regional levels to make bioenergy competitive. In parallel a market for carbon allowances will start soon in the framework of the Emission Trading scheme. Recovered Fuels can participate to both these concerns while at the same time providing a flexibility in waste management. The conference will address all these issues with institutional and private representatives, including financing bodies.

Programme:

The conference is divided into 4 sessions : news from EU Parliament, news from EU Commission, Solid Recovered Fuels and financing bioenergy.

This high profile conference will provide opportunities to identify key EU trends for bioenergy. There are special opportunities to engage in direct communication with outstanding speakers from the Parliament and the Commission through organised bilateral meetings, and create contacts among participants. The conference will be especially useful to those engaged in business. Complete programme available at http://www.ecop.ucl.ac.be/aebiom.

Organiser:

The European Bioenergy Business Forum – EBBF is a non profit organisation created under the patronage of two international organisations, the European Biomass Association AEBIOM and Carbonfix e.V., and is supported by erneuerbare energien GmbH.
