CreationOnline customer interactions exceed 2 million milestone in December / Additional PROPRIS reference data service to be launched for data vendors
Customer usage of Clearstreams new Corporate Action Service for the efficient management of corporate action activities has exceeded initial expectations: Since its launch on December 6 last year the service has attracted over 290 financial institutions and a total of 50,141 user interactions on CreationOnline. It has driven overall usage of the CreationOnline information service past the milestone figure of 2 million interactions in December.
This new service enables Clearstream customers to access and use integrated settlement and custody information seamlessly through a single point of entry. Customers now receive real time information on corporate action notifications; can submit corporate action instructions and use links to related account information on data such as pending instructions, proceeds and balances that enables fast and efficient account reconciliation.
Volker Potthoff, Managing Director Banking and Custody Services at Clearstream International stated, "Our focus is to understand the operational needs of our customers and to create solutions that meet their immediate needs. This new Corporate Actions service extends the capability of the already unique CreationOnline information service and is another example of the focus we have at Clearstream."
CreationOnline has been rapidly adopted across the globe over the last two years and now has over 16,300 regular users spread across 78 countries. This expanded service now offers customers a complete and efficient way to monitor all account activities, enabling reconciliation of balances and facilitates accurate and timely action.
In the first quarter Deutsche Börse Group will launch another reference data initiative through its Market Data & Analytics business area: The new PROPRIS service announced at the end of November will deliver reference data to data vendors. All new services are aimed at improving the overall data and process quality in the industry.
