The IWF Knowledge and Media - formerly Institute for the Scientific Film - is a service facility of the Federal Government and the states of the Federal Republic for multi-media communication of science. It is obliged to scientific ethic.

Communicating science actively:

In accord with the requirements in the education sector our service emphasis for media development moves itself to transfer tasks in the media sector. Future-oriented communication structures for the optimal media usage in teaching and research is what the IWF Knowledge and Media invests into.

Central knot in international knowledge network:

The IWF Knowledge and Media establishes themselves as a central incoming point for audio-visual knowledge media. It is an internationally recognized knot in a worldwide knowledge network for ideas, services and products.
