German Association of Biotechnology Industries

DIB profile

The German Association of Biotechnology Industries (DIB) is the biotechnology association of the Association of the German Chemical Industry (VCI), the VCI sector groups, and the VCI sector associations. DIB is the German member of the European biotechnology association EuropaBio.

Our Role

• Representation of interests of biotechnology companies in contacts with politicians, authorities, other institutions, and the general public
  
• Representation of interests in Europe and worldwide, especially through active participation in international associations
  
• Supporting the setting-up and development of small and medium-sized biotechnology companies in Germany
  
• Coordination of tasks, relevant to biotechnology, of committees and working groups of VCI, VCI regional associations, and VCI sector associations
  
• Organisation of events focusing on biotechnology

Our Member Companies

Eligible for membership in DIB are member companies of VCI and the VCI sector associations which are engaged in research, development and production or render services using biotechnological methods. At present, DIB has some 200 member companies working in all areas of biotechnology. DIB represents large, medium-sized, and small enterprises.
