The Fraunhofer Institute for Information and Data Processing IITB develops processes, customized solutions and products in various fields of information technology for industry, service providers and public-sector customers.

The Fraunhofer IITB´s activities typically focus on three key areas of technology:

Computer-aided image analysis, subdivided into the business sectors: Visual inspection systems, recognition systems, interaction and assistance systems.

Control engineering systems, subdivided into the business sectors: Control systems, resource management, measurement, control and diagnosis systems.

Information and communication networks, subdivided into the business sectors: Network services, information management.
