Fraunhofer Institute Toxicology and Experimental Medicine

At the Fraunhofer ITEM emphasis is placed on research work and services in the areas of pharmaceutical research, environmental and health protection. In cooperation with industry, the Institute develops low health risk products and technology. Toxicological, pharmacological and numerous preclinical studies are carried out for the development and registration of chemicals and drugs. As a further service, assessments of risk to humans and the environment are performed.
