The Fraunhofer Patent Centre for German Research is one of 57 institutes of the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft. Since its founding in 1955, it has taken on the role of active mediator between science and industry. This task is more topical than ever today.
Creating innovations in technology-orientated companies is the objective of the Fraunhofer Patent Centre. In addition, it offers new products and procedures for use in industry. The technologies originate from the institutes of the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft, from cooperating research facilities, from technical colleges, from small companies and from the private sector.
The arrangement of research and development services is also included in the service spectrum of the Fraunhofer Patent Centre, alongside supporting new businesses and offering technological consultation to companies.
