Network Profile

The teaching and learning method TheoPrax aims on interfacing schools and universities with practice.

Syllabus-integrated project work in teams on industrial topics requires theoretical knowledge and helps to learn and to practice job-relevant abilities like capacity for team work, communication, ability to find problem solutions and creativity.
By working on industrial problems pupils and students as well as teachers and professors can apply practically their learned knowledge.

A network between schools, universities and companies has been developing since the foundation of TheoPrax in 1996. Besides the TheoPrax centre at the Fraunhofer-Institut für Chemische Technologie (ICT) there are 14 more communication centres all over Germany. TheoPrax also cooperates with partners abroad concerning education and training.
