	About us MINAC was founded in October 2000 by several members of the Dutch community actively involved in microsystem- and nanotechnology. Our mission "To enlarge the knowledge and potency of micro and nanotechnology for the Netherlands and for the associated members in particular by joining forces of the members." Goals and objectives Protection of interests Goal: Protection of the interests of the members. Objectives: To develop a list of interests where the association can fight for actively. Matching activities can be: To formulate common interests of the members. To actively maintain contact with authorities and institutes for the benefit of positioning and financial resources. To stimulate a common infrastructure. Transfer of knowledge Goal: To initiate, stimulate and support the exchange of information and knowledge concerning micro and nanotechnology between members and to others. Internal Objectives: An increase of mutual knowledge among members. Matching activities can be: To organise periodic meetings for members for the benefit of transfer of knowledge (presentations, reports of seminars, demonstrations of prototypes and such). External Objectives: An increase of knowledge about micro and nanotechnology in the market and in authorities. Matching activities can be: To set up an internet site with new developments concerning micro and nanotechology. Project development Goal: To initiate, stimulate and support innovation and collaboration activities of members concerning micro and nanotechnology. Objectives: An increase in the offer of projects. Matching activities can be: To process questions in the market for collaboration projects between knowledge institutes and business, and to present these to the members so that they can choose to cooperate individually. To guide project development in networks (processguidance, for instance support in subsidy applications). To convey questions from the market to members. Promotion Goal: To initiate, stimulate and support promotional activities concerning micro and nanotechnology circle en haar leden. Objectives: During the first year: an increase of the acquaintance of micro and nanotechnology. Second; an increase in acquaintance of the members at the target market. Matching activities can be: To participate in and/or to organise exhibitions, workshops and conferences. Tend to Public Relations (press releases, contacting specialist journals).
