Bisphosphonates as Inhibitors of Acid Sphingomyelinase
Novel bisphosphonates with prolonged carbon chain can be synthesized in a one-step procedure and show clear inhibition of cell death in vitro. Aerosols of the bisphosphonates may be possible applicants for the treatment of pulmonary diseases.
